Fascinated all my life by the Bauhaus principles and the aesthetics that result from its application, I recreate its design classics from the early 20th century and adapt them to the demands and standards of our 21st century, creating a collection of unique personalised exquisite pieces.
Hi, I am Diego Pereira
Resident in Berlin, a cradle of the Bauhaus movement and its ideals. I have studies in Construction Engineer and Energy Efficiency. Bauhaus synthesises both those fields in a perfect manner and it has been to me an inspiration for many projects. Diego Pereira Bauhaus, the brand, is the combination of all those experiences.
Why Bauhaus?
Literally translated to “house of construction”, Bauhaus was the architecture and arts school that Walter Gropius founded in Germany in 1919. Emphasising function over form, Bauhaus promoted the application of science and technology to architecture, design and the arts.
One of the ideas brought up by the Bauhaus movement — perhaps its most revolutionary — was the intelligent use of resources.
